As Florida's Citizen Alliance, Alternative Education Expert through 2016-2018, under her English name, Patti Cohen, Chana worked on championing K-12 education reform. FCA continues to successfully advocate and support legal change for parental rights and choice along with other common-sense solutions that fuel student safety and individual success.

Chana Rus homeschooled her own and foster children, as well as the children of family members and neighbors for close to three decades.
She founded and operated SW Florida Homeschool Learning Cooperative of the Classical Liberal Arts out of her home where over 100 families came through her door over the course of fifteen years.
Chana was Director of HOCC-Homeschoolers of Collier County Support Group of fifty through three hundred families, on any given year, for eight years. During this time, she was also Director of Homeschoolers of Marco Island, a small sister group to HOCC for fifteen years. Chana Rus is a retired child development specialist with a working, teaching and mentoring background in Montessori and Waldorf Education, Leadership Education as well as Classical Liberal Arts Education.
Chana owns and operates an online wellness clinic: A Life Worth Living with ChanaRus. Chana is a Board Certified, Holistic Health Practitioner in Non-pharmaceutical Alternative Medicine.
Known as the "mother's mother" and "coaches coach" Chana Rus has been mentoring families in their parenting, alternative education, homeschooling and health journeys for close to three decades.
